The 8th Annual Northwest Area Track Invitational delivered a full slate of standout performances across sprints, distance events, relays, and field competitions. With deep fields and strong early-season marks, several athletes established themselves as names to watch this spring.

Pennsylvania high school football excellence has a long memory and once again, District 2 talent is etched into it. Six local standouts have earned Mini Maxwell recognition, placing them among the state’s elite and one step closer to football immortality.

In a stormy District 2 3A Championship at Crispin Field, Scranton Prep dismantled unbeaten Berwick 42-7 to earn district glory. Senior quarterback Will McPartland went 9-for-9 for 226 yards and had six total touchdowns, while brother Braedon added 155 yards of offense and a score. The Cavaliers’ defense dominated, Sean McCormack recorded two sacks, and AJ Croom and Jake Rowell each grabbed interceptions, handing Berwick QB Brady Cleaver his first picks of the season.

Ty’Meere Wilkerson cemented his place in Berwick history, rushing for 393 yards and five touchdowns as the Bulldogs steamrolled Williamsport 63–19 at Crispin Field. Berwick piled up 516 rushing yards in a dominant showing that showcased power, speed, and a statement win heading into the final stretch of the season.

Berwick stayed unbeaten in dominant fashion, pulling away for a 35-13 win over Wyoming Area in a clash of two teams that entered Friday night without a loss. The Bulldogs improved to 6-0, while the Warriors slipped to 5-1.

Berwick holds on to the top spot in the District 2 Small School Top 10, edging out Wyoming Area by just two points. Lackawanna Trail climbs into third, Scranton Prep surges into the top five, and Mid Valley makes one of the week’s biggest gains as the middle of the rankings tighten up.

The Berwick Bulldogs remained undefeated with a 56–19 win over the Hanover Area Hawkeyes on Friday night, improving their record to 5–0 while Hanover dropped to 2–3.

Ty’Meere Wilkerson ran for 237 yards and three touchdowns as Berwick powered past top-ranked Lackawanna Trail 33-12 in a heavyweight Week 3 showdown, signaling that the Dawgs are ready to bark like the old days.

In his second year leading the Bulldogs, head coach C.J. Curry has Berwick off to a fast 2–0 start and breathing life back into a proud program. With a dominant offensive line paving the way for standout running back Ty Wilkerson, the Dawgs have rolled past Lake-Lehman and Mid Valley to open the season. But the true measuring stick arrives Friday night at Crispin Field, when Berwick hosts Lackawanna Trail, the No. 13 ranked Class 1A team in Pennsylvania.

When asked about her favorite part of the Drive, Chip, and Putt challenge, Ainsley simply said, “The whole thing!” It’s a sentiment that reflects both her joy for the game and her relentless competitive drive.

Carolyn Comitz was unstoppable, driving in six runs including a three-run homer that marked her 100th career hit, while Nina Barrouk fired a one-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts as Dallas blanked Berwick 10-0.

Behind Emma Welsh’s six-RBI day and a dominant one-hit shutout from Morgan Siegel, Berwick overwhelmed MMI Prep 21-0 to even their record at 9-9. The Bulldogs travel to Lake-Lehman Thursday with momentum on their side.
