Nanticoke defeated Berwick 14-0 in field hockey action.
Nanticoke opened the scoring with four goals in the first quarter. Emma Brown started things off with an unassisted goal at 13:31, followed by an unassisted score from Madison Falkowski at 11:50. Brown scored again unassisted at 10:46, and Lillian Samuels found the back of the net off a pass from Isa Gulick at 7:22.
In the second quarter, Brown scored her third unassisted goal at 10:45. Gulick followed with a goal at 8:40 off an assist from Molly Novak. Falkowski struck at 6:46 on a setup from Haleigh Cross, and Emily Weihbrecht added an unassisted goal with 13.2 seconds remaining before halftime to push the lead to 8-0.
Nanticoke kept the offense going in the third quarter. Cross scored at 11:00 off an assist from Novak, and Weihbrecht scored unassisted at 9:02. Novak then scored at 5:10 off a feed from Falkowski, and Falkowski closed the frame with an unassisted goal at 2:58.
Nanticoke capped the win in the fourth quarter with two late goals. Samuels scored her second goal of the contest off an assist from Gulick at 3:21, and Abbey Simcox scored with 0.2 seconds remaining off a pass from Cross.
Nanticoke finished with 31 total shots and held an 8-4 edge in penalty corners. Goalkeeper Duhl recorded 17 saves for Berwick.
