Bulldogs Dominate Spartans in Shutout Victory

From the moment the game kicked off, Berwick was in control, demonstrating a potent offense and stellar pitching.

The Bulldogs wasted no time putting runs on the board, exploding for five runs in the opening inning. They continued to pile on the pressure with two more in the second and another four in the third, building an insurmountable lead early in the contest. Lauren Ashworth was a powerhouse at the plate for Berwick, driving in an impressive five runs and collecting two hits. Emma Welsh also had a standout day, tallying two hits, two RBI, and reaching base with a walk, along with a stolen base. Makayla Brown delivered a masterful performance from the pitching circle, allowing no runs and striking out eight over five innings, while also contributing offensively with a hit and three runs scored. Ashlyn Klahold was a key baserunner, scoring twice and drawing two walks. Morgan Drauschak chipped in with a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. Liliana Belles, Brylee Weaver, and Alex Levan each crossed the plate once, with Weaver and Levan also bravely taking a pitch for the team. Fattore stepped up to the plate, trying to spark a comeback for the Spartans.
