North Scranton Little League jumped out to a four-run first-inning lead, but Carbondale Little League answered with a dramatic comeback, highlighted by an eight-run fifth inning, to earn a 14-7 victory Wednesday evening at Dickson City Crystal Park in District 32 Minors Baseball pool play.

History was made Wednesday night as the inaugural combined North Pocono Dandy Lion and Jefferson Township Little League Majors All-Star team captured the District 17 Championship. Behind a dominant complete-game shutout from Aubrey Gebhardt and an explosive offensive performance, North Pocono defeated Dingman Delaware Little League 10-0 to sweep the best-of-three championship series and advance to the Section 5 Tournament.
