Mountain Top 11’s All-Star 2026 secured a commanding 17-2 victory over Hazle Twp. 11s All-Stars, with a strong offensive performance highlighted by multiple doubles and timely hitting throughout the game.
Mountain Top wasted no time getting on the scoreboard in the first inning. Following a pop out, Andrew Petros doubled with a line drive to center field. Matthew Hummel then connected for another double, driving in Petros for the first run. Henry Arcangeli followed with a single to left field, bringing home Matthew Hummel and advancing to third on the throw, giving Mountain Top a 2-0 lead.
Hazle Twp. responded in the bottom of the first, evening the score. Gabriel Torres drew a walk, and Sj Carsia was hit by a pitch. Amari Hoffmaster then walked, and Landon Siegfried was hit by a pitch, loading the bases. Jadiel Alvarez walked, allowing Sj Carsia to score, and Grayson Stahora followed with another walk, bringing Hoffmaster home to tie the game at 2-2 before the inning concluded.
The Mountain Top offense continued to build its lead in the second. Zachary Stahlnecker singled, and Mason McDonough delivered a double to left field, scoring Stahlnecker and advancing to third. Noah Geiger then grounded out, allowing Mason McDonough to cross the plate. Hayden Rivera kept the rally going with a pop fly double to right field. Noah Sorber reached base on a hard ground ball, and Rivera scored on the play. Zachary Olshefski then reached base on a ground ball, with Petros following up with a double that brought in both Matthew Dutrow and Zachary Olshefski, pushing the score to 7-2.
In the third inning, Mountain Top added more runs. Henry Arcangeli walked and Ashton Cook singled on a hard ground ball. William Gagliardi then hit a hard ground ball single, which scored Arcangeli. Stahlnecker reached base on a ground ball, leading to Cook scoring.
Mountain Top exploded for eight more runs in the fourth inning to solidify their lead. Hayden Rivera started with a pop fly single. Noah Sorber then singled, and Rivera scored on the play. Zachary Olshefski doubled, driving in Noah Sorber. Matthew Dutrow walked, followed by Andrew Petros reaching base on a pop fly, which allowed both Olshefski and Dutrow to score. Matthew Hummel then walked, and Henry Arcangeli walked, scoring Petros. Ashton Cook smashed a line drive double, bringing in Arcangeli and Hummel. Stahlnecker walked. Mason McDonough then singled on a ground ball to score Cook. Noah Geiger walked, capping off a dominant offensive showing.
On the mound for Mountain Top, Henry Arcangeli started, and Zachary Stahlnecker came in to pitch, recording four strikeouts in their appearances. For Hazle Twp., Blaise Tanner, Ayden Mejia, and Jadiel Alvarez shared pitching duties.
