The 8th Annual Northwest Area Track Invitational delivered a full slate of standout performances across sprints, distance events, relays, and field competitions. With deep fields and strong early-season marks, several athletes established themselves as names to watch this spring.

Track has become Gavin’s true passion. Competing since seventh grade, he specializes in sprinting events, including the 100m, 200m, 4x100, and 4x400 relays. This season, he reached a major milestone by breaking his school’s 200m record, clocking an impressive 21.54 seconds and surpassing the previous mark of 22.8. The achievement reflects years of dedication and steady progression.

Brayden Rose hat trick led Riverside to a commanding 99-51 track victory over Lakeland. Barnett & Olmos also secured multiple wins in the Vikings dominant performance.

For Dallas High School junior Julia Natitus, track and field has become far more than just a sport—it’s a passion that began somewhat unexpectedly and has grown into a record-breaking career.
