One of the Wyoming Valley’s most historic football traditions is getting a new backdrop for its diamond anniversary. The 75th UNICO Football Classic heads to Wilkes-Barre Area this month, bringing together the region’s top WVC senior standouts for one final night under the lights.

For six innings, Crestwood looked ready to leave PNC Field with a statement win. Then Dallas flipped the entire game upside down in one explosive inning, capped by a grand slam that sent the Mountaineers dugout into a frenzy.

Crestwood dominated Wilkes-Barre in a 20-0 shutout victory. Ty McConnell (3 goals, 1 assist) and Aiden Lazo (3 goals, 1 assist) led the offensive charge, supported by strong defense and face-off control.

Crestwood defeated Minisink 11-7. Cole Pugh (2 goals, 3 assists) was Player of the Game. Kevin Schlude led Crestwood with 4 goals; Mike Holland had 3 for Minisink.

After a top of the first inning rally, the Crestwood Comets led Dallas 3-0. Dallas then reset and started an offensive rally to take the lead 5-3 after the first inning. They continued playing with this high energy for the rest of the game, and secured the victory with a score of 8-5. This game was worth more than the win for the Mountaineers.

The 8th Annual Northwest Area Track Invitational delivered a full slate of standout performances across sprints, distance events, relays, and field competitions. With deep fields and strong early-season marks, several athletes established themselves as names to watch this spring.

Crestwood goalkeeper Madison Geiger makes history as the programs first Longstreth Senior All American selection. Geiger, who will play Division I field hockey at Hofstra, joins the nations top 44 seniors this July to anchor the North squad.

Crestwood Comets routed Wilkes-Barre Area Wolfpack 19-4. An offensive showcase featured 23 hits. Celia Stahlnecker led with 4 hits; Kayla Sinavage drove in 3 runs.

The list spans every corner of Pennsylvania… powerhouse programs, deep playoff runs, and elite individual seasons. And woven throughout it, a group of District 2 players who didn’t just represent, they produced at a level that demanded statewide recognition.

Dallas rallied from a 4-0 deficit with an 8-run first inning, crushing Crestwood 15-4. Scatton and Zangardi led the Mountaineers to a commanding victory.

Crestwood Comets' Jake McLaughlin had a stellar day, pitching the win and hitting 3 times, as they defeated Berwick 11-1 in Freshman action.

Addison Ciocco's dominant bat led Crestwood Comets to a 16-2 rout over Dallas. She drove in 4 runs on 3 hits. Fallon Stavish pitched the win.

Delaware Valley edged Crestwood 6-5 in a thrilling lacrosse match. Hunsejnoivc, McGarvey, Myers netted two goals each for DV. Schlude led Crestwood with 3 scores.
