Top Level Sports may be one of the newer names in the region’s baseball and softball development scene, but it has wasted little time making its presence felt.
After launching and building out an impressive facility in Olyphant, Top Level has quickly followed with a series of major moves designed to expand what it can offer athletes throughout the region.
Two longtime regional staples are now becoming part of that growth, with Grind Athletics joining the organization as Top Level Grind and Baseball U becoming Top Level U with more expansion still to come.
Now, Sportzwire is becoming part of that next chapter.
Sportzwire and Top Level Sports are launching a year-round baseball and softball partnership built around a shared vision: connect athlete development with performance, visibility and opportunity.
Top Level brings the training, technology and development. Sportzwire brings the coverage, storytelling and reach. Together, the relationship creates new opportunities to connect the work athletes are putting in with the performances, milestones and stories that follow.
Development Meets Exposure
The alignment between the two organizations is what makes the relationship more than a traditional sponsorship.
Top Level is building around athlete development, training technology, travel opportunities and an expanding regional footprint. Sportzwire is continuing to grow its coverage, storytelling and athlete-focused media across the region.
The result is a partnership built around the player’s journey…from development and competition to the way those moments are covered, shared and remembered.
Top Level Sports owner Nick Shursky said the excitement around the partnership extends throughout the organization.
“I’m really looking forward to the future with Sportzwire. All of the coaches and staff are as well.”
The timing also comes as Top Level continues to grow quickly.
The organization’s recent moves with Grind Athletics and Baseball U bring established programs, coaches, athletes and relationships into a broader Top Level network. Along with its Olyphant facility and offseason travel opportunities, the expansion gives athletes more ways to train, compete and develop throughout the year.
Growing the Game
The relationship is also expected to create opportunities beyond the traditional high school sports calendar.
After the success of Sportzwire’s expanded Little League coverage this past summer from the state championships in Jenkins Township through the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Sportzwire will look to continue growing its coverage of youth baseball and softball during the summer all star season.
The goal is to bring more attention to younger athletes, teams and communities while continuing to follow players through more stages of their journey.
Sportzwire is also exploring additional resources for student-athletes and families, including future recruiting-focused services across multiple sports.
Those plans remain in development, but the larger vision is to create more ways for area athletes to be seen, supported and prepared for what comes next.
Community Impact
The partnership will also support the Sportzwire Community Impact Fund through The Luzerne Foundation, continuing Sportzwire’s push toward relationships that create an impact beyond advertising and visibility.
For Sportzwire owner Justin Bradley, that alignment is a major part of what the platform is looking for as it continues to grow.
“Community-minded business partnerships that align with our mission are exactly what we’re focusing on going forward. We want to work with people who believe in what we’re building, believe in these athletes and believe in this region. It’s becoming contagious. Real recognizes real. This is where the athletes want to be seen and we hear this everyday.”
Leveling Up Together
The timing feels natural for both organizations.
Top Level is expanding where and how athletes can train, develop and compete across the region.
Sportzwire is expanding how those athletes are covered, promoted and seen.
One is strengthening the development side of the game. The other is strengthening the visibility side.
And as both continue to grow, so will the opportunities created through the relationship.
Top Level is leveling up where athletes develop. Sportzwire is leveling up how their stories get told.
Now they’re doing it together.
