In his second year leading the Bulldogs, head coach C.J. Curry has Berwick off to a fast 2–0 start and breathing life back into a proud program. With a dominant offensive line paving the way for standout running back Ty Wilkerson, the Dawgs have rolled past Lake-Lehman and Mid Valley to open the season. But the true measuring stick arrives Friday night at Crispin Field, when Berwick hosts Lackawanna Trail, the No. 13 ranked Class 1A team in Pennsylvania.

The 2024-2025 Wyoming Valley Conference (WVC) Division 1 basketball season has concluded, and the coaches have made their selections for the All-Star teams, recognizing the most outstanding players in the league. This year's honors feature impressive performances, with standout players from Hazleton, Pittston, Crestwood, Dallas, Wyoming Valley West, Berwick, and Wilkes-Barre Area making their mark.

PITTSTON TWP. — A dominant second quarter propelled No. 2 seed Pittston Area past Berwick, 53-31, in the district quarterfinals on Wednesday night. The Patriots, who held just a one-point lead after the first quarter, erupted for 23 points in the second to create a comfortable cushion that Berwick never recovered from.

Wyoming Area ended their season most favorably, rearing with an 11-2 record and becoming WVC Division 2 champions. The first time Berwick and Wyoming Area went head to head in the 2024-2025 season, the Warriors sealed a close win 61-56. Less than a month later, the two teams met again, and Berwick handed Wyoming Area their first loss of the season, conquering with a 17 point victory, 60-43, at the Bulldogs' Varsity Gym.
