When the lights were the brightest, Maggie Coleman delivered a performance for the ages. The Abington Heights senior put on a shooting clinic, pouring in 40 points and sinking an unbelievable 12 three-pointers to lead the Comets to a convincing 63-30 playoff victory over North Pocono on Wednesday night.

Despite a brave effort, the lady lions struggled to find their rhythm, particularly on the offensive end, as York dominated throughout the game. With only two games remaining in the season, Wilkes-Barre may no longer have any hopes of reaching playoffs. When the first quarter came to an end, it looked like me it was going to be a possible upset for Crestwood. Hazleton Area slammed the door on the upset by only allowing six total points in the second quarter. They led 40-24 at halftime en route to a 63-51 victory to win their second consecutive Wyoming Valley Conference Championship over Crestwood. Alexis Reimold had a game high 22 points and Kaitlyn Bindas added 15 for Hazleton Area.

Hazleton Area has proven themselves as the top team in District 2 for the 2024-2025 season. Sophia Benyo had a game high 21 points and Kaitlyn Bindas added 20 as the Lady Cougars advanced to the WVC Championship with a 75-46 victory over Holy Redeemer. Hazleton Area is looking to repeat as WVC Champions.

After an 18-0 run by Lake-Lehman that spanned the first and second quarter, Crestwood was down nine. The Lady Comets slowly chipped away at the lead and took a short lead early in the third quarter. Crestwood trailed as much as seven in the fourth quarter but ended up not allowing any more Lake-Lehman points as Charlie Hiller had a team-high 13 points including a putback basket with 26 seconds left and Kate Gallagher added 10 points as the Lady Comets advanced to the WVC Finals with a 48-45 victory over Lake-Lehman.

The game was a tough loss for Wilkes-Barre, who has been battling for a playoff spot all season. Though they played hard and showed great effort, it was Mont Alto\'s strong defensive plays and consistent scoring that ultimately secured the win.

Scranton’s Senior Night was a night to remember, as the Lady Knights finished their regular season with a 51-45 win over Valley View. Giada Costa reached 1,000 career points, a milestone that added even more emotion to an already special evening. Though Valley View’s second-half defense nearly sparked a comeback, Scranton’s second-quarter surge proved to be the difference.

On a night of honoring legends, Sophia Talutto created her own legacy, leading Dunmore to a thrilling 56-49 overtime win over Honesdale, securing the Lackawanna League Division II title with clutch performances on both ends of the court.

Valley View celebrated Senior Night with grit and determination as seniors Giada Costa, Maggie Pegula, and Daniella Ashby led the Cougars to a thrilling 48-42 victory over Abington Heights, marking an unforgettable finale to their regular season home games with more postseason action still to come on their court.
