Old Forge Rains Threes, Rolls Past Sayre 63-31 in PIAA 2A Opener
March 8, 2025Old Forge dominated from start to finish, rolling past Sayre 63-31 in the PIAA 2A state tournament opener. The Blue Devils' hot shooting, led by Cameron Parkers 22 points (four threes) and Camren Krushnowskis 11 (three threes), fueled a commanding 40-16 halftime lead. Old Forge hit nine total three-pointers to Sayres two, with Ryan Ressler (8 pts) and Hudson Trump (7 pts) leading the Redskins. With sharp shooting and strong defense, the Blue Devils made a statement as they advance in the postseason.
Northwest Holds Off Sayre, Wins 50-45 in District Semi-Final
February 22, 2025With the victory, Northwest moves on to the District 4 2A Championship, where they will face Muncy, who defeated North East Bradford later in the evening. The championship game promises to be a thrilling matchup as Northwest looks to build on their semi-final win and secure the district title. Northwest beat Muncy twice during the regular season and will look for a third while also bringing home the District championship.
