For three quarters, it felt like a tug-of-war. Every bucket answered. Every stop matched. But when the fourth quarter arrived, the Lady Crusaders dug deep, locked in defensively, and found just enough separation to keep their season moving.

The first annual Peace, Love and Inclusion Game was about more than basketball as Forest City and the Chargerettes met in a rivalry matchup centered on unity and support for special education. With a packed gym and strong community presence, the Lady Foresters set the tone early while the night highlighted how sports can bring people together for a greater purpose.

Mid Valley Stadium is the place to be this week as the community unites for a cause that’s bigger than the game. The Rally in the Valley kicks off Thursday night at 6 p.m. with a rivalry showdown against Valley View and continues Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with youth soccer, junior high games, and a boys varsity matchup against Forest City. Fans can enjoy food, t-shirts, basket raffles, and a chance to win amazing prizes like a Camelback Resort overnight stay or a 20-person RailRiders luxury box. Evan Pedri couldn’t be contained, going 3-for-3 at the plate as MMI Prep erupted for 10 late-game runs to bury Forest City 12-2 in six innings. With Witner dealing on the mound and timely hits up and down the order, the Preppers punched their ticket forward in dominant fashion.
