In a high-scoring softball showdown on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, Delaware Valley High School staged a remarkable comeback to defeat Scranton Prep 11-9. The Warriors, driven by clutch hitting and resilient pitching, erased an early deficit to secure the win.

In a commanding performance, Delaware Valley (DV) stormed past Holy Redeemer with a decisive 15-2 victory. The Warriors showcased their offensive firepower and solid defense, improving their record to 4-1, while Holy Redeemer remains winless at 0-4.

The game began with DV establishing an early lead, scoring 5 goals in each of the first three quarters. Despite a valiant effort from Kingston, who managed to score once in the first and again in the fourth, they were unable to keep pace with the explosive DV attack.

It was a dominant weekend for several local lacrosse programs, with Scranton Prep, Crestwood, and Abington Heights all turning in impressive performances. The Cavaliers overwhelmed North Pocono with a 15-1 victory, Crestwood’s girls edged Delaware Valley in a tight 10-8 battle, and Abington Heights rolled past Wyoming Area 16-2, showcasing firepower and depth across the board.

Crestwood controlled possession and made big plays on both ends of the field, with Caporuscio and Ziegler leading the charge in an early-season statement victory.

The PTFCA Indoor State Championships saw some outstanding performances from District 2 athletes, as they made their mark against Pennsylvania’s best. With multiple top-10 finishes and personal bests, the championship meet proved that District 2 talent is ready to make noise as the outdoor season approaches.

Valley View's boys' basketball team showcased their dominance in a compelling 63-47 victory over Delaware Valley in a Lackawanna Division I clash. The Cougars, now holding a 16-4 overall record and 8-4 in the division, delivered an all-around impressive performance led by senior guard Aidan Smola.

Delaware Valley secured a narrow 62-60 victory over Wallenpaupack, led by Trey Newtons 16 points and key free throws. Sam Wood and Isaiah Berrios added 13 points each, with strong three-point shooting (11 total). Wallenpaupacks Justin Blanding led all scorers with 24 points, while Frank Church hit five three-pointers for 15 points.
