What a game for the Wyoming Area Warriors! They absolutely brought the heat on Friday, crushing Tunkhannock with a dominant 12-0 shutout. From the jump, Wyoming Area was locked in, and Tunkhannock just couldn't catch a break.

The Warriors wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, putting up four runs in the very first inning. First, they nabbed a run with a slick steal of home. Then, some fielding mistakes by Tunkhannock opened the floodgates, allowing two more runs to score on one error and another run to cross the plate on a separate error. Talk about capitalizing on opportunities!

Wyoming Area kept the pressure on in the second inning, exploding for six more runs on just two hits. Jake Snyder walked, pushing a run across. Then, Ben Rogish took one for the team, getting hit by a pitch to drive in another run. Alex Vacula then blasted a triple, bringing home three huge runs, and he was so fast he scored himself after tagging up! The Warriors were just relentless. They added two more runs in the fourth inning to seal the deal.

On the mound, Caleb Pavinski was an absolute ace for Wyoming Area. He pitched a complete game shutout, going five innings, allowing only two hits, and striking out nine batters while walking just one. Seriously, he was unhittable!

For Tunkhannock, Tanner Geertgens started on the bump, but the Warriors' offense was just too much, putting up nine runs (eight earned) on four hits in his single inning of work. Shea Harvey came in for relief and pitched three innings, giving up five hits and three runs (one earned), striking out three and walking two. Matthew Kaleta also saw some action in relief for an inning, holding Wyoming Area scoreless.

Wyoming Area's lineup was also aggressive on the base paths, stealing an incredible nine bases throughout the game. Mitchell Rusinchak, Jake Snyder, and Ben Rogish were all swiping bags like it was nobody's business.
