West Point Outlasts French Creek in Late-Inning Thriller

A dramatic late-game surge lifted the 12's West Point LL All-Stars to a hard-earned 5 to 3 victory over the French Creek All Stars on Wednesday. The intense matchup featured clutch hitting, defensive resilience, and a standout pitching performance that kept fans captivated until the final out.

Following three innings of scoreless, defensive baseball, West Point broke the deadlock in the bottom of the fourth inning. Sebastian Worman got the scoring started by grinding out a fielder's choice to bring a run home. Kaden Kriger immediately followed with a clutch RBI single to right field, igniting a three-run push that gave West Point a firm grasp on the momentum.

Refusing to back down, French Creek responded with fireworks in the top of the fifth inning. Mav Adkins changed the complexion of the game with one swing, launching a massive two-run home run over the right-field fence to trim the deficit to a single run.

However, West Point's lineup proved resilient, answering back in the bottom half of the fifth. Dominic Bova delivered an RBI single, and Hilton Bricker lofted a sacrifice fly to center field, stretching the lead back to three runs. French Creek scratched across one final run in the top of the sixth on a groundout by Griffin Crum, but the West Point defense secured the final outs to clinch the win.

Dominic Bova was named Player of the Game for his masterful two-way performance. On the mound, Bova dominated over five and two-thirds innings, racking up eight strikeouts while surrendering just five hits. Griffin Crum showed great toughness for French Creek, tossing four innings and striking out two batters.
