Warrior Run Pulls Away from Dunmore to Advance in State Playoffs

WARRIOR RUN — Warrior Run opened the PIAA Class 3A state playoffs with a strong performance Saturday night, defeating Dunmore 72–54 to move on to the next round.


The Defenders set the tone early, taking a 15–13 lead after the first quarter before creating separation in the second quarter. Warrior Run extended its advantage to 30–17 at halftime, then continued to control the game in the second half with efficient offense and balanced scoring.


James Keifer led Warrior Run with 22 points, knocking down four three-pointers while also going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Clayton Skokowski added 16 points with four shots from beyond the arc, while Landon Polcyn contributed 12 points and Aiden McKee chipped in 11 to give the Defenders a balanced offensive attack.


Warrior Run connected on nine three-pointers and finished with 24 field goals, consistently finding scoring opportunities throughout the game.


Dunmore was paced by Jimmy Clark, who scored 15 points, including three three-pointers. Brayden Canavan added 13 points, while Carter Sload finished with 11 for the Bucks.


With the win, Warrior Run advances to the Round of 16 in the PIAA Class 3A state playoffs, where the Defenders will face the winner of Audenried and Catasauqua on Wednesday night at a site to be determined.
