Walsh, Casey Lead Dallas Past Wilkes-Barre Area in Conference Road Win

WILKES-BARRE — Dallas continued its strong run through Division 1 conference play on Monday night, pulling away in the second half for a 58–26 victory over Wilkes-Barre Area.


The Mountaineers built an early advantage and led 25–13 at halftime before putting the game out of reach after the break. Dallas outscored Wilkes-Barre Area 33–13 over the final two quarters, using defensive pressure and balanced scoring to turn the conference matchup into a decisive road win.


Senior Molly Walsh led all scorers with 20 points, connecting on three shots from beyond the arc. Brianna Casey added 11 points, while Mia DelGaudio chipped in 10 as Dallas placed three players in double figures. Malaysia Shaw contributed a season-high seven points as the Mountaineers showcased their depth.


Dallas finished with six three-pointers and limited Wilkes-Barre Area to just 10 made field goals on the night. Jaida Underwood paced the Wolfpack with 13 points, accounting for half of Wilkes-Barre Area’s scoring.


With the win, Dallas improved to 14–1 overall and 4–1 in Division 1 conference play. Wilkes-Barre Area dropped to 3–9 overall and 1–4 in conference action.
