Valley View Overpowers Scranton in League Clash at Elkview Country Club

Valley View defeated Scranton 172-200 in a Lackawanna League boys golf match on September 10, 2026, at Elkview Country Club.
The match used a format where six golfers played and the top four individual scores counted toward the team total on the par-36 course. Rocco Farina earned match medalist honors for Valley View with a round of 37, which included a birdie on the fourth hole. Caeden Krause shot a 41 for Valley View with a birdie on the eighth hole. Rocco Wascura shot a 46, while Jack Kelly and Brian Bauer each posted rounds of 48.
Scranton was led by Jack Kerrigan, who shot a team-best 46. Travis Mendoza added a 48, Tyler Dempsey recorded a 51, and Jack Lapolla and Brayden Clarke each carded a 55.
