The Valley View Cougars 4th Grade Girls Travel Basketball Team put together a championship level performance this past weekend at the Back Mountain Girls Shootout 2026, finishing a perfect 3-0 in the 4th Grade A Division at Lake Lehman High School.

Valley View opened tournament play on Feb. 20 with a commanding 17-6 win over Wolfpack 4th/10U, setting the tone early with strong defense and disciplined team play on both ends of the floor. The Cougars controlled the pace from the start and executed consistently, showing composure throughout the matchup.

On Feb. 21, Valley View returned to the court and earned a hard-fought 15-10 victory over DYB4 (Dallas 4th Grade A Division). In a competitive contest, the Cougars relied on teamwork, defensive pressure, and smart possessions down the stretch to secure their second win of the weekend.

Later that evening, the championship game resulted in a forfeit by Delaware Valley due to incoming snow and travel concerns. With a higher point differential across bracket play, Valley View was awarded the final victory and officially crowned champions of the 4th Grade A Division at the Back Mountain Shootout.

The Cougars received contributions across the entire roster, showcasing depth, effort, and strong chemistry throughout the tournament. Team members include Aubrey Altier (56), Lucy Conflitti (19), Adaleigh Evans (21), Brooke Kropa (14), Tiara Krupovich (25), Arianna Linsinbigler (37), Kamryn Lopuhovsky (17), Giada Migliorino (9), Maelee Naughton (10), Kyleigh Neal (22), Charlotte Pegula (13), and Amiya VanWert (49).

With the undefeated weekend and tournament title, the Valley View 4th Grade Girls Travel Team now qualifies for the State Championship, scheduled for March 13-15 in State College, where they will look to carry their momentum from a dominant Back Mountain Shootout run into the next stage of competition.
