The Work Continues: Dom DeLuca Heads Back to Baltimore With the Same Relentless Mindset

After signing with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent this spring, former Penn State captain and Wyoming Area standout Dominic DeLuca recently spent a brief stretch back home in Northeast Pennsylvania before reporting to Ravens training camp.
Like anyone after a long spring, DeLuca made time to recharge. He caught up with family and old friends, enjoyed being home for a few days, and embraced the balance that comes with a rare break in the calendar.
But even during that downtime, one thing never changed.
He made time to train.
During his stay home, DeLuca was back inside Flanagan Speed & Performance, not because he had to be, but because that’s simply who he is.
If there’s one thing that stands out about DeLuca, it isn’t just his athletic ability. It’s the standard he sets every time he walks into the building.

Despite going from preferred walk-on at Penn State to team captain, College Football Playoff standout, and now a member of the Baltimore Ravens, DeLuca remains the same person. His story has never been about taking the easy road.
After arriving at Penn State as a walk-on, DeLuca earned a scholarship through relentless work before developing into one of the Nittany Lions’ most respected leaders. He finished his collegiate career with 164 tackles, 17.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, five interceptions—including two returned for touchdowns—and established himself as both a defensive playmaker and a cornerstone on special teams.
Those same qualities are exactly what attracted the Ravens, an organization known for valuing toughness, leadership, and players who embrace every opportunity. As he returns to training camp, DeLuca will once again compete for a place on the final roster, relying on the same work ethic that has carried him every step of the way.
