Bucks Clutch Up in Pitching Showdown Against Hornets!

Wednesday delivered a classic pitching duel, with the Dunmore Bucks edging out the Honesdale Hornets 2-1 in a contest dominated by stellar pitching performances from both sides.

Mason Stets of Dunmore delivered a masterful performance, stifling the Hornets' offense across six frames. Not to be outdone, Honesdale's Brody Patrisso was equally formidable, pitching five strong innings and consistently challenging Bucks hitters.

The Bucks drew first blood in the bottom of the first inning when Jackson Cady scored after drawing a walk, giving Dunmore a crucial early run. The scoreboard remained static until the top of the third, when Honesdale's Jake Fine delivered a crucial single down the left field line, bringing in a run and leveling the score at 1-1.

The stalemate persisted until the bottom of the sixth. With the score still tied, Dunmore's Diego Arias executed a pivotal sacrifice fly, driving in the go-ahead run and securing a 2-1 lead.

Jackson Cady entered in relief for Dunmore in the seventh inning, closing out the game with a dominant scoreless frame to preserve the victory.
