Old Forge didn’t play like a team hoping to reach Mohegan.
They played like a team planning to repeat.
The top-seeded and defending champion Blue Devils rolled past No. 4 Blue Ridge 77–40 Saturday night in the District 2 Class 2A semifinals, flexing their depth, shooting, and championship edge from the opening tip.
The tone was set immediately.
Old Forge erupted for 24 points in the first quarter, building a 24–8 lead before Blue Ridge could find its rhythm. By halftime, the margin had grown to 40–19, and a 23-point third quarter sealed any doubt.
This wasn’t just scoring.
It was pressure. Pace. Precision.
Cam Krushnowski delivered a career night, drilling six three-pointers and finishing with 22 points, stretching the defense and igniting the home crowd with each release.
Inside, Logan Fanning controlled the paint with authority. He finished with 12 points, pulled down 14 rebounds, and swatted away five shots, anchoring a defense that allowed just 40 points.
Cameron Parker added 14 points, attacking in transition and keeping the pressure constant. And while the box score shows four points for Ryan DeMarco, the senior floor general orchestrated everything, dishing out seven assists and keeping the offense flowing smoothly.
Old Forge knocked down 14 three-pointers as a team and shot efficiently from the line, turning the semifinal into a showcase of why they remain the class of 2A.
For Blue Ridge, junior Paxton Pingarelli led the Raiders with 12 points, battling throughout despite the deficit. And history was made in the loss.
Landon Bishop knocked down his 70th career three-pointer, setting a new Blue Ridge program record, a milestone moment for the Raiders sharpshooter and a bright spot for the future of the program.
But Saturday belonged to Old Forge.
The defending champs looked sharp, balanced, and hungry, a team comfortable with expectations and fully aware of what’s next.
Now, the Blue Devils head to Mohegan Arena to face No. 2 Susquehanna Saturday at 2 p.m. for the District 2 Class 2A championship.
The crown is still theirs.
And they’re not ready to let it go.
