Southern Columbia Area's baseball team secured a dominant 10-0 victory over Mount Carmel in a non-conference home game on Monday. The Tigers' offense exploded for 12 hits, while their pitching staff held the Tornadoes to just three hits in a shutout performance.

Southern Columbia Area got on the board early with a run in the first inning and then broke the game open with a five-run third inning. They added two more runs in the fourth and sealed the run-rule victory with another two in the fifth.

Offensively for the Tigers, Brayden Andrews led the charge, going three for four at the plate and scoring three runs. Kaden Zachman and Andrew Yost were also highly productive, each tallying two hits, two RBIs, and a double. Kaden Zachman scored a run, and Andrew Yost also crossed the plate once. Caden Hopper contributed two hits and two RBIs. Gavin Richards added a hit and a double, while Ethan Makowski had a hit, an RBI, and scored a run. Kole Myers scored two runs and drove in one, and A. Hockenbroch recorded a hit, an RBI, and a run scored. Andrew Novak also notched an RBI.

On the mound for Southern Columbia Area, Levi Everitt was exceptional, pitching a complete five-inning shutout. He allowed only three hits and one walk while striking out five Mount Carmel batters.

Mount Carmel struggled to generate offense, managing only three hits throughout the game. Brody Brinkash recorded a double, while Walker McGinley and Gabe Yuskoski each added a single. Walker McGinley also stole a base for the Tornadoes. On the pitching side, Lukas Carpenter started for Mount Carmel, giving up seven hits and six runs (two earned) over three innings, walking two and striking out one. A. Brokenshire pitched 1.2 innings in relief, allowing five hits and four earned runs.
