Warrior Run edged out Montoursville in a tight playoff matchup on Thursday, securing a 5-4 victory in a neutral site game. The game was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams collecting six hits, though Montoursville played a clean game with no errors compared to Warrior Run's one.
Montoursville started strong, matching Warrior Run's lone run in the first inning before exploding for three more in the second to take a 4-1 lead. Warrior Run responded by scoring two runs in the third and another two in the fifth to regain a 5-4 advantage, which they held for the remainder of the contest.
Warrior Run's offense was powered by Maura Woland, who had a standout performance with three home runs, driving in five runs and scoring three herself. Skye Reigle contributed with a double and a run scored, while E. Printzenhoff also crossed the plate once and added a hit. On the mound for Warrior Run, M.
