On the Move: Five North Pocono Seniors Set for College Football Careers

By: Steven Abbatiello | Brad Loff | June 27, 2026

North Pocono’s football program will once again be well represented at the collegiate level as five Trojans have officially committed to continue their academic and athletic careers. Three seniors—Cole Zimmerman, Dylan Caster, and Josiah Gray—will stay close to home at Lackawanna College, while brothers Aidan and Seamus Maguire will head to King’s College.

This group represents the strength of North Pocono’s senior class and gives both programs talented players capable of making an impact early.

Cole Zimmerman – Lackawanna College

A dependable force in the trenches, offensive and defensive lineman Cole Zimmerman was one of the anchors of North Pocono’s line throughout his career. While offensive linemen don’t fill the stat sheet, Zimmerman consistently helped pave the way for an offense that featured one of District 2’s most productive rushing attacks. Defensively, he added key tackles in the interior and brought physicality every Friday night.

Lackawanna College is getting a tough, fundamentally sound lineman who understands leverage, finishes blocks, and has experience playing against top competition in the Lackawanna Football Conference. His versatility on both sides of the ball gives the Falcons valuable depth.

Dylan Caster – Lackawanna College

Standing 6-foot-8 and weighing approximately 345 pounds, Dylan Caster possesses the size that college coaches covet along the offensive line. A dominant tackle for the Trojans, Caster protected the edge while helping North Pocono establish a physical rushing attack throughout the season.

Caster’s combination of size and strength gives Lackawanna a developmental lineman with tremendous upside. As his technique continues to improve, he has the potential to become an impact player in the Falcons’ offensive front.

Josiah Gray – Lackawanna College

Few players were more productive than running back Josiah Gray during his senior season. Gray rushed for 1,145 yards and 15 touchdowns on 152 carries, averaging over 7.5 yards per carry, while also contributing as a defensive back.

Gray’s explosive running style, vision, and ability to break tackles should translate well to the college game. Lackawanna has a history of producing standout running backs, and Gray has the talent to continue that tradition while adding another dynamic weapon to the Falcons’ offense.

Aidan Maguire – King’s College

A physical two-way performer, Aidan Maguire excelled at both running back and linebacker. Offensively, he rushed for 243 yards and a touchdown, while adding another score through the air. Defensively, he finished the season with 104 total tackles, ranking among the top defenders in District 2.

King’s College is adding a player who embraces contact and plays with relentless effort. Whether lining up in the backfield or on defense, Maguire’s toughness and leadership should make him a valuable contributor for the Monarchs.

Seamus Maguire – King’s College

Defensive back and wide receiver Seamus Maguire was one of North Pocono’s most reliable all-around athletes. His ability to defend opposing receivers while contributing on special teams and offense made him an important piece of the Trojans’ success. Known for his physical play in the secondary and dependable tackling, Maguire brings versatility and football intelligence to the next level.

King’s College will benefit from his versatility, as he has the athleticism to contribute in multiple roles while providing valuable depth in the defensive backfield.

For Lackawanna College, Zimmerman, Caster, and Gray add size, toughness, and offensive firepower to an already respected junior college program. King’s College gains two high-character competitors in Aidan and Seamus Maguire, players whose versatility and work ethic should allow them to compete for playing time as they transition to the collegiate game.

As these five Trojans prepare for the next chapter, they leave behind a legacy of hard work, physical football, and leadership that future North Pocono teams will look to build upon.
