O’Brien, Kimble Pace Riverside Boys; Wincovitch Propels Girls to Victory

The Riverside golf program secured victories over Old Forge in both the boys and girls Lackawanna League matches at Pine Hills Country Club.
In the boys match, Riverside defeated Old Forge by a team score of 170 to 180 on the par-35 back nine. Joey Revello of Old Forge captured individual medalist honors by posting the low round of the day with a 39. Riverside secured the team win behind matching rounds of 40 from Jake O'Brien and Alex Kimble, along with twin rounds of 45 from Pat Lavelle and Evan Slocum. Bill Shea carded a 47 and Riley Odzana added a 50 for Riverside, while alternates Grayson Soltys and Billy Sandly posted rounds of 44 and 49, respectively. For Old Forge, Luke Olivieri shot a 43, Rocco Revello turned in a 48, James Kupetz shot a 50, Chase Harris carded a 53, and Jake Bartnikowski recorded a 55.
In the girls match, Riverside edged Old Forge 131 to 135 in a format counting the best three of five scores. Frankie Wincovitch led Riverside by carding a 43, while Emma Bisignani and Raigan Monahan each contributed rounds of 44 to complete the scoring trio. Emily Chilek shot a 55 and Brea Gaughan finished with a 56. In alternate play for Riverside, Sophia Koval shot 58, Carsyn Refice shot 61, and Sadie Fanning shot 65. Old Forge was paced by Mia Fox and Kamryn Notari, who each carded a 43 to share match medalist honors with Wincovitch. Addison Rafalko shot a 49, Jenny Solfanelli carded a 55, Gwyn O'Hearn posted a 65, and alternate Abigail Lenceski added a 65.
