Northwest secured the District 4 PIAA AA District Championship in a hard-fought contest against Wyalusing, with strong pitching proving to be the difference. With that win, the Northwest Lady Rangers improve on their already perfect record, making them 21-0 so far on the season.
Northwest's starting pitcher Jenna Robaczewski delivered a dominant performance on the mound, holding Wyalusing to just two hits over seven innings. She stifled their offense throughout the game, tallying 8 strikeouts and allowing no runs, ultimately earning the win. The defensive effort behind Robaczewski was solid, contributing to the shutout.
The Northwest offense managed to push across two runs on five hits, enough to claim the championship title. Lizzy Noss and Abby Miller each contributed a hit for Northwest. Wyalusing's batters were unable to generate sufficient offense against Robaczewski, finishing the game with just two hits and no runs scored.
