North Pocono Lady Trojans Roll Past Wallenpaupack Area

The North Pocono Lady Trojans secured a dominant 11-2 victory over Wallenpaupack Area on Tuesday, showcasing strong hitting and solid defense throughout the contest.

North Pocono wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, opening their account in the first inning when a passed ball allowed a run to cross the plate. The Lady Trojans continued to build their lead in the top of the third, adding two more runs. Crucial RBI singles from Riley Grambo and Avarie Roscioli extended North Pocono's early advantage.

The game broke open in the sixth inning when North Pocono exploded for five runs on three hits. An error helped kick off the scoring, followed by Paige Dymek’s double that drove in a run. Two more runs scored on subsequent errors, and Isabella Forgione singled to bring in another, capping off a big inning for the Lady Trojans. Paige Dymek and Avarie Roscioli were instrumental not only with key hits but also with excellent defense that helped stifle Wallenpaupack’s attempts to rally.

On the mound for North Pocono, Amelia Bell delivered a complete game performance, earning the win. She surrendered five hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out two batters and issuing five walks. For Wallenpaupack Area, Anna Babyak took the loss, pitching into the sixth inning before Lexi Laing came on in relief.

North Pocono's offense was potent, tallying 10 hits in total. Adysen Iyoob and Avarie Roscioli proved to be a powerful duo at the plate, each collecting two hits while batting back-to-back in the lineup. Contributing to the scoring barrage, Paige Dymek, Riley Grambo, Amelia Bell, Isabella Forgione, Anna Clementoni, and Ariella Bell all recorded one RBI apiece. The Lady Trojans also demonstrated patience, drawing five walks during the game. Defensively, North Pocono turned two double plays to keep Wallenpaupack in check.

Wallenpaupack Area was led offensively by Madison Haynes, who recorded three hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Hannah Daidone and Reagan Anderson each drove in a run for the team. Adrianna Milutinovic showed good plate discipline, drawing two walks as Wallenpaupack accumulated five walks collectively. Wallenpaupack also managed to turn one double play in the contest.

Amelia Bell earns Player of the Game honors for her outstanding all-around effort. Not only did she pitch a complete game victory, allowing only two runs over seven innings, but she also contributed offensively with a hit, an RBI, and a walk. Her steady presence on the mound and timely hitting were key factors in North Pocono's decisive win.
