Nationally Ranked: Abington Wildcats 10U Continue Remarkable Season with Eastern Nationals Finish

The Abington Wildcats 10U Kirkpatrick travel softball team has firmly established itself as one of the premier teams in both USA Softball and USSSA during the 2026 spring season, earning recognition among the nation’s top programs through consistent success against elite competition.
In USA Softball, the Wildcats posted an impressive APEX Score of 68.2, ranking No. 177 out of 2,370 teams nationwide, No. 116 out of 633 teams in the 10U B division, and No. 4 in Pennsylvania. The team compiled a 13-6 record, winning 68.4 percent of its games while averaging 7.4 runs per contest and allowing just 3.6 runs per game, resulting in a strong +3.8 run differential.
The Wildcats also embraced a challenging schedule throughout the season, playing 17 of their 19 USA Softball games against B-level competition, a testament to the program’s commitment to testing itself against some of the strongest teams in the country.
Their success has carried over into USSSA competition as well, where Abington currently owns a 15-8-1 overall record, including an outstanding 13-2 mark against fellow 10U B teams. That performance has earned the Wildcats a Power Rating of 1280, making them the No. 1 ranked 10U B team in Pennsylvania and No. 19 nationally.
The team has also accumulated 485 USSSA points, ranking No. 7 in Pennsylvania and No. 453 nationally, while posting a 10-4-1 record in pool play and a 5-4 mark in bracket play against strong tournament competition.
One of the season’s defining moments came this past weekend at the USA Softball of Central Virginia Eastern National Championships, where the Wildcats battled through a field featuring many of the top teams from across the Northeast and Northwest regions. Their determination and consistent play resulted in an impressive third-place national finish, further validating the team’s place among the nation’s elite.
From earning top state rankings to gaining national recognition in two of the sport’s premier organizations, the Abington Wildcats have built a season defined by hard work, exceptional team chemistry, and a commitment to competing against the highest level of talent. Their continued success reflects the dedication of the players, coaches, and families who have helped establish the Wildcats as one of Pennsylvania’s premier 10U softball programs.
