USA Lacrosse announced its 2026 All-Americans and a pair of District 2 stars received the honor. Abington Heights midfielder Allie Rothenberger and Crestwood attacker Gia Caporuscio were both named 2026 All-Americans.

Rothenberger is now a two-time All-American after she received the honor last year. She became the first player in Abington Heights lacrosse history to achieve this honor.

Rothenberger scored 67 goals and recorded 29 assists for 96 points her senior year. She also won 78 draw controls and caused 53 turnovers on defense.

Rothenberger helped lead the Comets to three straight District 2 AA championships and to the 2025 state semifinals. She will continue her lacrosse career next season at Rider University.

Caporuscio was named an All-American for the first time after she scored 92 goals with 44 assists for 136 points as a junior. She also scooped up 32 ground balls, caused 20 turnovers and won 186 draw controls.

Caporuscio was 10th in the state in points as a junior. She helped lead Crestwood to the District 2 AA championship game and a state playoff win.

Caporuscio is currently committed to play college lacrosse at Nova Southeastern University.
