Mountain Top Minor Softball All Stars Dominate Hanover 14-4 Behind Offensive Barrage

Mountain Top 8-10 All Stars secured a decisive 14-4 victory over Hanover on Sunday, driven by a strong offensive performance and effective pitching. Mountain Top generated runs consistently throughout the game, accumulating 12 hits and showcasing their speed on the base paths with 15 stolen bases.

Mountain Top established an early lead in the bottom of the first inning. Ella Smith put Mountain Top on the board with a ground out that scored a run. Kenzie Dohman followed with a single that brought home two runs, and Josie Smolinsky's ground out added another run to make it 4-0. The offense continued its momentum in the second inning, expanding their lead after a wild pitch and an RBI single to left field by Emma Hogan, each contributing one run.

The third inning saw Mountain Top add five more runs on four hits. Josie Smolinsky recorded her second RBI of the game with a ground out. Addison Hogan then singled, scoring two runs, and Addison Gudnitz drew a walk that plated another run.

Adrianna Perugino earned the win for Mountain Top, delivering a solid performance on the mound. She pitched four innings, allowing seven hits and four runs, two of which were earned. Perugino also recorded four strikeouts and issued one walk. Mountain Top's offense was highly effective, generating 14 runs on 12 hits during Kaycee W's three and two-thirds innings on the mound for Hanover, where Kaycee W also recorded five strikeouts and eight walks.

Hanover's offense was led by Quinn Farrell, who had a strong outing with two hits in two at bats. Bella D, Lucy F, and Molly K each contributed one RBI for Hanover.

Mountain Top's aggressive baserunning was evident, with Dohman, Lane Myers, Emma Hogan, and Detweiler each stealing multiple bases. Mountain Top also demonstrated patience at the plate, drawing eight walks in the contest. Lane Myers, Emma Hogan, and Kendall Werkeizer each collected multiple hits for Mountain Top.
