Montrose shut out Nativity BVM 13-0.
After a scoreless opening quarter, Montrose got on the scoreboard with 1:44 remaining in the second quarter when Sawyer Aukema scored on a 3-yard touchdown run. Gabriel De Liano Duran added the extra point to give Montrose a 7-0 lead heading into halftime.
Following a scoreless third quarter, Montrose extended its advantage in the fourth quarter. Aukema scored his second touchdown of the game on a 10-yard run with 6:15 left on the clock. The extra point attempt was unsuccessful, setting the final score at 13-0.
Quarterback Evan Strohl completed 9 of 15 passes for 143 yards for Montrose. Aukema rushed seven times for 24 yards and two scores, while also catching two passes for 21 yards. Weston Nabywaniec caught two passes for 49 yards, Timothy David had two receptions for 34 yards, Evan McComb caught one pass for 27 yards, Lincoln Hobbs added an 8-yard reception, and Liam MacNamee recorded a 4-yard catch.
On defense, Montrose intercepted two passes, with McComb and Nabywaniec each recording an interception.
