Mohegan Fall Fists Returns October 10 With USBA Title Fight Highlighting Loaded Card

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Professional boxing returns to Mohegan Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 10, as Northeast Boxing brings Mohegan Fall Fists to the Keystone Grand Ballroom with a card featuring established contenders, local fighters and a championship bout.
The biggest addition to the night is a USBA Bantamweight Championship fight between Brooklyn’s Khalid Tawaiti (16-1, 16 KOs) and Miami’s Gerardo Zapata (16-3, 6 KOs). The vacant title will be on the line at 118 pounds, adding championship stakes to an already deep lineup.
At the top of the card, Kurt Scoby (19-2, 17 KOs) returns in the super lightweight main event. Scoby brings considerable power into Wilkes-Barre, with 17 of his 19 professional victories coming by knockout.
The card also carries plenty of regional interest. Scranton native Ryan Wilczak (11-2, 6 KOs) is scheduled to compete at super middleweight, while Newfoundland’s Anthony Muta (3-1, 3 KOs) gives the local crowd another familiar fighter to follow.
Also scheduled are Opeyemi Adeyemi (11-0, 9 KOs), unbeaten light heavyweight Alpha Toure (6-0, 5 KOs), Yasin Subhanallah, Jesse Oltmanns Jr. and Hadi Hadrous.
Fall Fists will feature both amateur and professional boxing, giving developing fighters an opportunity to compete on the same night as seasoned professionals and championship-level talent.
Doors open at 5 p.m., with amateur bouts beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the professional portion of the card scheduled for 7 p.m.
Tickets start at $60, with reserved seating available at $70, $80, $90 and $100. Tickets can be purchased at Dooley’s in Old Forge.
For Northeast Pennsylvania fight fans, October 10 brings boxing back under the lights at Mohegan Pennsylvania, this time with a USBA championship belt up for grabs.
