Madison Falkowski's Five-Point Masterclass Carries Nanticoke Over Holy Redeemer

Nanticoke defeated Holy Redeemer 4-2 in field hockey action.Holy Redeemer opened the scoring in the first quarter when Gwen Johns scored an unassisted goal at the 8:21 mark. Nanticoke evened the contest at 1-1 in the second quarter when Emma Brown scored an unassisted goal with 6:00 remaining before halftime.
Holy Redeemer regained the lead in the third quarter as Gwen Johns scored her second goal of the contest at 10:47 off an assist from Covington Lehman. Nanticoke answered at the 9:33 mark of the third quarter when Madison Falkowski scored an unassisted goal to tie the game at 2-2.
Nanticoke took the lead for good in the fourth quarter. Molly Novak scored off an assist from Madison Falkowski with 8:05 left to put Nanticoke ahead 3-2. Madison Falkowski added a final goal with 53.9 seconds remaining on an assist from Molly Novak.
Nanticoke generated 19 shots on goal and earned 10 penalty corners. In goal for Nanticoke, Monska made eight saves and John recorded two saves.
Holy Redeemer produced 10 shots on goal and two penalty corners. Goalkeeper Miller finished with 16 saves for Holy Redeemer.
