The Greater Nanticoke Area and Electric Surge Field Hockey Club athlete is partnering with Huddle for Hearts to host a special field hockey tournament fundraiser to raise awareness about Sudden Cardiac Arrest and help fund life saving AED devices for youth sports facilities and other community locations in need.

The fundraiser will feature two event dates, with the Open Division tournament scheduled for Friday, March 6, 2026, followed by the School Age Divisions on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Sunday’s event will run from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. at Surge Field Hockey Club, located at 116 Eley Street in Kingston.

For Falkowski, the cause goes well beyond the field.

“I’m thrilled to partner with Huddle for Hearts to raise awareness about Sudden Cardiac Arrest and how we can save lives,” Falkowski shared on her fundraising page. “As a Greater Nanticoke Area and Electric Surge Field Hockey Club athlete, I know the importance of being prepared, both on and off the field, and I’m proud to help spread the message of SCA and heart emergency preparedness.”

Funds raised through the event will go toward installing an AED device at Surge, while also helping support additional placements in other locations that need them. Donations will also help expand CPR training and education for coaches, youth leaders, and sports organizations.

According to the campaign, Huddle For Hearts is a partnership between The Peyton Walker Foundation and athletes committed to improving awareness, prevention, and treatment of Sudden Cardiac Arrest. The initiative focuses on providing AEDs and CPR training to youth sports organizations, with an emphasis on underserved communities.

The importance of that mission cannot be overstated. Sudden Cardiac Arrest remains one of the leading causes of death in student athletes, and immediate access to an AED can be the difference between life and death in an emergency. By creating this event, Falkowski is helping bring both awareness and action to an issue that affects athletes, coaches, families, and communities everywhere.

Sunday’s tournament will also include a CPR educator on site from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., giving visitors an added opportunity to learn more about emergency preparedness and the critical role CPR and AED access can play in saving lives.

The event is expected to bring together athletes, families, and supporters for a day centered on competition, education, and community impact. At its heart, it is about making sure the places where kids play and practice are safer for everyone.
