Loyalsock Baseball Prepares for the 2026 Season

The Loyalsock Lancers baseball team is excited for the upcoming season and has been working hard all winter in preparation. Last season, the Lancers played in many hard-fought games and finished with a 9-11 record. Although their record does not fully reflect how competitive the team was, everyone learned a lot as the season progressed and gained valuable experience. In the next few months, they are determined to improve upon their previous record and continue to strengthen the bonds they formed as teammates.
Despite graduating five seniors from last year's team, plenty of talent returns to the field. The 2026 team combines experienced upperclassmen and energetic underclassmen who share a passion for the game and a commitment to working hard. The team is hoping to continue developing these strengths over the course of the season. Senior Drake Dupont spoke about the team's competitive nature and unity. He said, “We focused on working together as a team in the offseason, so we are ready for this year.” Dupont can’t wait to see how the team grows and improves throughout the spring season.
With multiple returning players and six experienced seniors, the Lancers have a strong foundation and are continuing to build on their skills. The team welcomes eleven new freshmen who will have the opportunity to step up and contribute. Under head coach Mike Fredrick, Loyalsock shows a lot of promise and is focused on coming together as a team, supporting one another, and competing hard every time they play. As the season approaches, Loyalsock is eager to take the field and start competing. The Lancers are ready to put in the effort and work together as a team to find success throughout the spring. They will travel to Danville on March 20th to kick off the 2026 season.
