SUSQUEHANNA, PA — Lackawanna Trail delivered its most productive offensive performance of the season Saturday afternoon, rolling past Susquehanna Community 31–7 in Lackawanna Football Conference action. The convincing victory gave the Lions a much-needed boost as they continue navigating the second half of their 2026 campaign.

The Lions entered Saturday’s matchup searching for consistency after a challenging start to the season. Against the Sabers, Lackawanna Trail broke through for a season-high 31 points, surpassing its previous best of 28 against Lakeland on September 11. The performance also marked the team’s first road victory of the year, snapping a three-game losing streak away from home.

For Lackawanna Trail, the win represented another positive result in conference play following its 21-point performance against Old Forge the previous week. Saturday’s victory improved the Lions to 2–5 overall and provided some momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season.

Susquehanna, meanwhile, continued to search for its first victory of the season. The Sabers dropped to 0–7 despite having shown competitiveness in earlier close losses to Montrose and Carbondale Area. Saturday’s matchup proved difficult against a Lackawanna Trail team that produced its best scoring output of the fall.

With the victory behind them, the Lions will look to build on their momentum when they face Holy Cross next Saturday. Susquehanna will return to action against Old Forge as both programs continue their conference schedules. For Lackawanna Trail, Saturday’s result was an encouraging step forward and a reminder of what the Lions can accomplish when they put points on the scoreboard
