New year-long partnership will build on SportzWire’s established Athlete of the Week feature while recognizing and rewarding standout student-athletes across the region.

A big swing for our athletes.

SportzWire’s Wired Athlete of the Week is returning for the 2026–27 school year with a new year-long partner and an added reward for the student-athletes who earn the weekly recognition.

HYDRABATHS® Swing Salt has joined SportzWire as the official 2026–27 partner of Wired Athlete of the Week, continuing an established SportzWire feature that celebrates standout performances from student-athletes throughout the region.

Beginning with the new school year, each selected athlete will receive the weekly SportzWire recognition along with a HYDRABATHS® care package as part of the partnership.

The Athlete of the Week feature has become part of SportzWire’s year-round commitment to recognizing athletes beyond scores and game results. The addition of HYDRABATHS® builds on that foundation while representing the next step in SportzWire’s approach to developing longer-term, community-focused business partnerships.

All sports. All year.

From the fall season through winter, spring and summer, Wired Athlete of the Week will continue highlighting the performances, athletes and stories that capture the attention of the region.

And this year, HYDRABATHS® is coming along for the ride.

Partnerships With Purpose

As SportzWire continues to grow, so does the way the platform is approaching partnerships.

The focus for 2026–27 and beyond is increasingly on developing sustainable, strategic relationships with businesses and organizations that see value not only in reaching SportzWire’s audience, but in supporting the athletes, schools and communities at the center of the coverage.

For SportzWire, that means going beyond simply placing a logo on a graphic.

“We want our partnerships to create value on both sides while helping us continue to invest in the communities we cover,” SportzWire co-owner Justin Bradley said. “We’re looking to align with businesses that believe in student-athletes, schools and grassroots sports and want to be part of what we’re building. Sustainable partnerships allow us to expand coverage while creating more opportunities to give something back.”

The HYDRABATHS® partnership is an example of that approach.

Wired Athlete of the Week already provides a platform to recognize noteworthy performances throughout the region. HYDRABATHS® is now adding another element to that recognition by providing a care package directly to each weekly recipient.

HYDRABATHS® Swing Salt Athletic Blend Bath Salts are designed as a performance-driven soak focused on muscle recovery and post-activity use. While Swing Salt carries a natural connection to golf, its athletic recovery focus extends across sports and competitors.

“Here at HYDRABATHS, we felt our athletic bath salt formula was a natural fit for athletes throughout the area,” HYDRABATHS President August Bednar said. “Recovery is just as important as the work athletes put into practices, workouts and games, and we want to show them there are different ways to make recovery part of their routine.

“While HYDRABATHS is a national company, supporting the community around us is extremely important. Before expanding this partnership elsewhere, we wanted to start right here at home, recognizing local athletes, supporting their accomplishments and representing the area we’re proud to be a part of.”

That hometown-first approach closely aligns with SportzWire’s vision for its next phase of partnerships, connecting businesses and brands with the regional sports community while creating tangible benefits for the athletes, schools and communities behind the coverage.

Whether that week’s performance happens on a football field, volleyball court, golf course, wrestling mat, basketball court, track, diamond, pool or anywhere else, the goal remains the same:

Recognize the athletes giving their schools and communities something to celebrate.

From the Sideline to the Screen

The partnership comes as SportzWire continues to expand both its regional footprint and the ways audiences consume its coverage.

SportzWire content reaches millions of viewers across its digital platforms, but social media represents only one piece of an increasingly multifaceted approach to grassroots sports media.

Professional photography and video. In-field game-day coverage. Interviews and original storytelling. SportzWire.com. Live broadcasts. The SportzWire mobile app. Social media. And now, an expanding presence in podcasting and long-form conversations.

Together, those platforms are creating more ways to cover local sports — and more meaningful ways for businesses to become part of that coverage.

A partnership might surround a weekly feature such as Wired Athlete of the Week. It might be built around a particular sport, season or championship. A partner can become part of game-day coverage, digital content, a live broadcast, podcast or community initiative. Larger relationships can extend across multiple platforms throughout the entire year.

From the sideline to the screen, SportzWire is creating more ways for businesses to be part of the story.

But reach alone isn’t the end goal.

SportzWire’s continued growth provides an opportunity to turn audience, engagement and visibility into something sustainable — allowing community-minded businesses to reach an active regional sports audience while helping support more coverage, more storytelling and more opportunities for the athletes and schools being covered.

SportzWire is growing. And the region is taking notice.

Turning Growth Into Community Impact

As that audience grows, SportzWire also sees an opportunity to make the impact extend beyond views, clicks and engagement.

The SportzWire Community Impact Fund partnered with The Luzerne Foundation was established as a way to invest back into the communities at the heart of the platform and help create opportunities surrounding grassroots sports and student media.

A major focus is the next generation of creators.

SportzWire continues to welcome students interested in photography, journalism, broadcasting, video production, graphic design and other areas of sports media, giving young creators opportunities to learn, gain experience and showcase their abilities while telling the stories of their own schools and fellow student-athletes.

The vision is to continue expanding those opportunities while helping provide resources and support that can make participation possible for more students.

Strategic business partnerships can play an important role in making that growth sustainable.

“As our platform grows, we want the impact of that growth to be felt by the people who helped us build it,” Bradley said. “If the right partnerships allow us to cover another game, tell another athlete’s story, give a student creator an opportunity or put resources back into a school or community, that’s the kind of growth we want.”

It creates a different definition of partnership.

Businesses receive meaningful visibility and opportunities to connect with a highly engaged regional audience. SportzWire gains resources to continue expanding and improving its coverage. And athletes, students, schools and communities benefit from additional recognition, storytelling and investment.

More Coverage. More Collaboration. More Impact.

SportzWire enters the 2026–27 school year with an expanding audience, a growing lineup of original content and more ways than ever to tell the stories of regional sports.

The next step is making that growth sustainable.

That means continuing to develop relationships with businesses interested in more than traditional advertising, organizations looking for strategic alignment, creative collaboration and an opportunity to support the communities they serve.

Those opportunities can take many forms: feature-specific partnerships, sport-focused campaigns, season-long relationships, community initiatives, year-round supporters and larger signature partnerships integrated throughout the SportzWire platform.

The approach can be different for every business.

The purpose remains the same.

Elevate the coverage. Support the athletes. Strengthen the communities behind them.

HYDRABATHS® Swing Salt is the latest business to become part of that effort.

And throughout the 2026–27 school year, that partnership will be visible every time another standout student-athlete Gets Wired.

A big swing for our athletes and another step forward for SportzWire.
