The 2026 Harvey’s Lake Run brought runners back to one of northeastern Pennsylvania’s most scenic road races on Saturday morning, as athletes circled the lake on an 8.2-mile course under clear conditions and calm weather.

Revived in 2025, the historic race once again featured a full lap around Harvey’s Lake with a dedicated lane closed to traffic and support from local public safety officials and volunteers. The event started and finished near the Grotto Pizza parking lot in Harvey’s Lake.

Runners competed for overall awards, age-group honors, and a special “Under 55 Club” race tee awarded to anyone finishing the course in under 55 minutes. The event also offered a $200 cash prize for breaking the long-standing course records around the lake.

In the men’s race, Dylan Servis claimed the overall title with a winning time of 45:50, averaging a 5:35 pace across the 8.2-mile course. John Syms finished second in 48:45, while Donald Bird placed third in 49:36.

On the women’s side, Tierney Porfirio led the field with a time of 53:43 at a 6:32 pace, earning the top overall female finish. Samantha Snead took second in 55:49, and Brenda Brawley rounded out the top three in 58:10.

The race’s long-standing course records remained intact. The men’s record of 40:31, set by Richie Stark in 1988, and the women’s record of 47:17, set by Marina Orsson in 2013, were not broken this year.

With strong participation, competitive times, and ideal weather conditions, the Harvey’s Lake Run once again showcased one of the region’s most unique and tradition-rich distance races.
