The future of North Pocono football was on full display this week as more than 60 young athletes participated over two days in the Trojans’ annual Fundamentals Camp, where current North Pocono players took center stage as coaches and mentors for the next generation.

From the opening moments, the message was clear. North Pocono’s head coach Greg Dolhon, set the tone by emphasizing the camp’s expectations: pay attention, work hard, and take pride in everything you do. Those lessons extended far beyond the football field as campers were introduced to what it truly means to be a Trojan.

One of the first stops was the weight room, where campers learned that success begins long before kickoff. Players stressed the importance of making time to lift, explaining that getting stronger is the foundation of becoming a better athlete. As the coaches reminded the campers, “Speed is strength,” reinforcing the commitment required to compete at a high level.

The young athletes also received a tour of the North Pocono locker room, giving them a glimpse into the program they hope to one day call home. Throughout the evening, current Trojan players shared their knowledge by leading drills, teaching proper fundamentals, and encouraging campers every step of the way.

Perhaps the biggest lesson wasn’t about tackling or blocking—it was about tradition. Campers experienced what makes North Pocono football special, including joining in the team’s signature chant while doing jumping jacks, or as they call it “Trojan Jacks”. With voices echoing throughout the facility, Coach’s familiar reminder rang out: “Loud and proud.”

The annual Fundamentals Camp continues to strengthen the bond between today’s Trojans and tomorrow’s players. By placing current athletes in coaching roles, North Pocono is building more than football skills—it is developing leadership, passing down tradition, and ensuring the Trojan standard continues for years to come.
