Five-Star Milestone: Penn State Delivers Dambach’s 300th Win in 5-0 Home-Opening Statement

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Erica Dambach’s 300th victory as head coach of Penn State women’s soccer could not have unfolded much better.
The Nittany Lions celebrated the milestone by turning their home opener into a commanding 5-0 victory over Bucknell at Jeffrey Field. Penn State controlled the match throughout the night, receiving goals from five different players while keeping the Bison off the scoreboard.
Freshman Paige Pashinski opened the scoring in the 20th minute, netting the first goal of her Penn State career and giving the Nittany Lions the early advantage. Lilly Burger added another shortly before halftime, sending Penn State into the break with a 2-0 lead and complete control of the match.
The pressure continued immediately after halftime. Hannah Jordan followed up a saved penalty kick and buried the rebound to extend the advantage to 3-0. Aubrey Kulpa and Kaelyn Wolfe later joined the scoring, putting the finishing touches on an impressive five-goal performance.
It was the type of complete effort Penn State was looking for in its first match of the season at Jeffrey Field. The Nittany Lions created chances throughout the night, featured a balanced attack and protected their home field with a clean sheet.
The victory marked Dambach’s 300th at the helm of the Blue and White and the 340th overall win of her decorated career. Now in her 20th season at Penn State, Dambach added another milestone to a tenure defined by sustained success and national prominence.
