East Stroudsburg South Outlasts Pittston Area in High Scoring Showdown.
Welcome back to the postgame breakdown, and if you decided to step away to grab a snack at any point during this one, you probably missed at least three touchdowns. The absolute turning point arrived late in the third quarter when Pittston Area had all the momentum in the universe, pulling within 37-32 after Lucas Lo Presto threw a magical 57-yard touchdown bomb to Deondre Miller. But just when it felt like the scoreboard might melt from a full blown comeback, East Stroudsburg South answered with a crushing fourth quarter surge. Avery Walker capped off a punishing drive with a one-yard touchdown run to push the lead back out to two scores, sparking a 13-point closing frame that sealed an electric 50-32 victory.
Before East Stroudsburg South pulled away in the fourth quarter, this game was essentially an offensive fireworks festival. Santino Capitano got the party started for Pittston Area in the opening frame with a sensational 26-yard touchdown scamper. East Stroudsburg South answered in the blink of an eye when Greyson Fuller launched a picturesque 75-yard touchdown strike to Lyric Parkins. Avery Walker quickly joined the highlight reel with a seven-yard touchdown run, and a 33-yard field goal gave the South a 17-6 edge after one quarter.
The second quarter turned the dial up to pure chaos. Walker broke loose for a 17-yard score before Capitano countered for Pittston Area with a gritty two-yard plunge into the end zone. Walker struck right back by taking off on a 32-yard sprint to paydirt. Not to be outdone, Lo Presto stepped under the spotlight for Pittston Area, snagging a 46-yard touchdown pass from Capitano and then promptly scooping up a loose ball on defense for a stunning 50-yard fumble return touchdown. Fuller tacked on a 14-yard scoring pass right before the break, sending East Stroudsburg South into halftime up 37-26.
Pittston Area kept battling all night behind Capitano, who racked up 148 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground while throwing for 106 yards and another score. On the defensive end, Chance Radzewicz was an absolute tackling machine, piling up seven solo stops and four tackles for loss to keep Pittston Area within striking distance. When the final whistle blew on an incredible 82-point night, East Stroudsburg South walked off with a hard earned win in a contest that kept everyone on the edge of their seats from start to finish.

Avery Walker earns the Player of the Game honors after delivering an absolute masterclass in the ground attack. Walker ripped through the defense for 145 rushing yards and found the end zone four times on 14 carries, constantly answering big Pittston Area drives with backbreaking touchdown runs that paced his squad all evening.
