Deep Cougars Lineup Outduels Scranton in Lackawanna League Showdown

Valley View defeated Scranton 151 to 162 in a Lackawanna League girls golf match on the front nine at Elkview.
Ella Mackrell earned match medalist honors for Valley View, shooting a team-best 48 on the par-36 layout. Aubrie Mackrell finished with a 51 and Liza Addley carded a 52 to round out the winning team total. Morgan Chilek shot a 59, Addison Howanitz posted a 60, and alternate Myla Pierson recorded a 65 for the Cougars.
Sophia Leonori led Scranton with a team-low score of 50. Rhylee Bell carded a 52, which included a birdie on the first hole. Olivia Coyne recorded a 60 and Johanelys Paulino finished with a 63 for the Knights.
