HANOVER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Dallas Mountaineers continued their undefeated season Friday night, cruising to a 42-13 victory over Hanover Area to improve to 9-0 with just one game remaining in the regular season.

Dallas wasted little time establishing control, using a strong rushing attack and big plays on special teams to build an early lead.

Sophomore running back Marc Saracinaj opened the scoring with a 16-yard touchdown run after a blocked punt gave the Mountaineers favorable field position. Senior Hunter Pitcavage followed with a 6-yard touchdown run to give Dallas a 14-0 advantage after the opening quarter.

Pitcavage continued his impressive night in the second quarter, scoring from two yards out before quarterback Talan Geskey added a 9-yard touchdown run to extend the lead to 28-0.

Hanover Area answered before halftime when Gregory McCoy connected with Angel Tejada on a 52-yard touchdown pass, cutting the deficit to 28-7.

The Mountaineers picked up right where they left off in the third quarter. Tyce Mason broke free for a 32-yard touchdown run, and Pitcavage added his third rushing touchdown of the evening from four yards out to put Dallas comfortably ahead, 42-7.

Pitcavage led the Dallas ground attack with 86 rushing yards on 11 carries and three touchdowns. Saracinaj contributed 53 yards and a touchdown, while Geskey completed 9 of 13 passes for 71 yards.

Dallas finished with 202 rushing yards and 273 yards of total offense. Defensively, the Mountaineers limited Hanover Area to just 32 rushing yards while recording four sacks.

Hanover Area added a late touchdown when Brody Richardson connected with Conor Richardson on a 6-yard pass. Conor Richardson finished with 10 receptions for 103 yards in the loss.

The victory marked another impressive performance for head coach Rich Mannello’s Mountaineers, who have consistently controlled games on both sides of the football throughout the season.

With the win, Dallas remains unbeaten and now turns its attention to a regular-season finale against Berwick next Friday at Crispin Field. A victory would complete a perfect 10-0 regular season and give the Mountaineers momentum heading into the District 2 playoffs.
