The Dallas squad delivered a powerful comeback performance Monday, overcoming an early deficit to defeat the Crestwood Varsity Comets 15-4. What began as a promising outing for Crestwood quickly unraveled as Dallas unleashed a torrent of runs, highlighting their potent offense and a stellar pitching effort.

Crestwood Varsity Comets seemed poised for victory in the top of the first inning, putting four runs on the board through a series of two singles. Zack Stavish notably broke the scoring ice with a well-placed single that brought in the game's first run.

However, the momentum shifted dramatically in the bottom of the first. Dallas exploded for eight runs on four hits, turning the game completely around to seize an 8-4 lead. The biggest hit of the frame came from Max Scatton, who ripped a single that drove in two crucial runs. Dallas continued to extend their advantage in the second inning when Peyton Vanvalkenburg doubled down the right field line, contributing to another run. A Crestwood error in the same inning also allowed a run to score, further padding Dallas's lead.

The third inning saw Dallas put the game firmly out of reach, adding five more runs on three hits. Peyton Vanvalkenburg drew a walk, forcing in a run, and Michael Viglone grounded out to bring another runner home. Max Scatton then singled, scoring a run, followed by a single from Charlie Rischawy for another RBI. Dominick Zangardi capped off the scoring frenzy with an RBI single of his own, leaving Crestwood with a daunting deficit.

On the mound, Dominick Zangardi earned the win for Dallas, showcasing impressive composure after the initial Crestwood surge. Zangardi pitched four innings, allowing four hits and four runs, none of which were earned. He struck out seven batters and issued two walks. For the Crestwood Varsity Comets, Connor Wagaman took the loss, surrendering eight runs, with only one being earned, on four hits over one inning. Wagaman recorded one strikeout and walked two batters.
