LEHMAN, PA — The Dallas Mountaineers continued their impressive 2026 campaign Friday night, delivering another statement performance with a convincing 49–7 victory over Back Mountain rival Lake-Lehman. In one of the area’s most anticipated rivalry games, Dallas showcased its explosive offense, relentless defense, and championship-caliber execution to improve to 7–0 while capturing the Old Shoe for the fifth consecutive year.

Junior Tyce Mason stole the spotlight, earning game MVP honors with three touchdowns in a spectacular performance. Mason hauled in three receptions for 150 yards, including touchdown catches of 90 and 40 yards from quarterback Talan Geskey, before adding a 37-yard punt return touchdown in the third quarter. Geskey was equally efficient, completing six of seven passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns as the Mountaineers built a commanding 35–0 halftime advantage.

While the Dallas offense provided the fireworks, its defense delivered one of the game’s defining moments. Senior Bobby Gallagher chased down Lake-Lehman running back Coldyn Harris on a long first-quarter run, preventing what appeared to be a certain touchdown. Gallagher followed with another key tackle and a fourth-down pass breakup to keep the Black Knights off the scoreboard. The defensive stand quickly turned into a 90-yard touchdown connection between Geskey and Mason, completely shifting the momentum. Gallagher also blocked a punt later in the contest, helping set up another Dallas score.

The Mountaineers demonstrated their offensive depth throughout the evening. Owen Oldt opened the scoring with a three-yard touchdown run, while Hunter Pitcavage, Geskey, and Tom Fostock also found the end zone on the ground. Fostock finished with 88 rushing yards, and Dallas accumulated 350 yards of total offense. Lake-Lehman, which fell to 3–4, received 110 rushing yards from Coldyn Harris, but struggled to sustain drives against a Dallas defense that has consistently overwhelmed opponents this season.

With seven consecutive victories, Dallas has established itself as one of District 2’s premier programs. The Mountaineers also moved into the top position in the District 2 Class 4A standings following North Pocono’s narrow loss to Scranton Prep. Head coach Rich Mannello’s squad now turns its attention to Crestwood, which visits Dallas on Friday, October 16. As the regular season moves toward its final stretch, the Mountaineers continue to make one thing clear: this undefeated team has its sights set on much more than another rivalry victory.
