Central Columbia holds on VS Loyalsock Township, 38-36

Sunbury, PA - PHAC Semi-Final Action

The Central Columbia Lady Blue Jays basketball team took down Loyalsock Township tonight, 38-36. Central Columbia is now 23-0. 


Loyalsock Lancer Alaina Dadzie was all over the glass tonight, gathering 14 rebounds, and holding Central Columbia to a season-low 38 points. Jude Flick gathered 10 rebounds and scored 8 points for the Blue Jays, 


Jada Tucker scored 12 points for the Blue Jays, eight of which came during the final quarter. Quinlan Blake reached double-figure scoring as well with 11 points. Abby Welkom scored six points, all of them from three-point land. 


For Loyalsock, Madison Perry scored 9 points, only being outscored by Alaina Dadzie (13 points)


Loyalsock led 9-5 at the first quarter's end, but Central Columbia stormed back with a 15 point second quarter. The Blue Jays led by 5 at halftime. During the third quarter, Loyalsock outscored the Blue Jays by four, but late efforts Jude Flick, Jada Tucker, and Quinlan Blake helped Central Columbia pull away. 


Postgame -  

I met with Jude Flick, and we spoke for about a minute, Her key response is italicized below... 

"We all played our role", later stating, "A big part of this game was rebounding."

Jude thought her team played decent, but the difference was rebounding and containing Alaina Dadzie. 


The Blue Jays will take on Hughesville at 6:00pm EST.
