Dallas defeated Nanticoke 7-3 in field hockey on the strength of a six-goal performance by Caitlyn Mizzer.
Nanticoke opened the scoring at 12:56 of the first quarter when Rileigh Brown scored off an assist from Molly Novak. Dallas tied the game at 9:28 of the opening period on a goal by Marley Mazur, assisted by Lacey Youngblood.
Emma Brown scored an unassisted goal for Nanticoke at 14:38 of the second quarter to give her team a 2-1 lead. Dallas answered two seconds later at 14:36 on an unassisted goal by Mizzer. Mizzer scored again unassisted at 12:46 to put Dallas ahead 3-2. Emma Brown then scored her second unassisted goal of the period at 5:25 to even the score at 3-3 going into halftime.
Dallas pulled away with four unanswered goals in the third quarter, all scored by Mizzer. Mizzer broke the tie at 7:44 off an assist from Mazur, then added unassisted tallies at 6:13 and 4:27. Mizzer closed the scoring with 12.3 seconds remaining in the third quarter on a setup from Elliot Rigor.
Dallas finished the game with 17 shots on goal and earned 14 penalty corners while recording 8 goalkeeper saves. Nanticoke compiled 11 shots on goal, earned 7 penalty corners, and recorded 10 goalkeeper saves.
