As we turn the clock ahead to the 2026 Football season, we have to also give thanks to the seniors who have crossed the stage. One specific one, Evan Wolff. After years of hard work, dedication, and relentless effort North Pocono's standout Evan Wolff announced his commitment to continue his football career at Penn State University back in April.

The 6-foot-2 linebacker and tight end leaves North Pocono as one of the program’s most accomplished defensive leaders. Known for his physical style of play, football IQ, and relentless motor, Wolff helped lead the Trojans through one of the most successful eras in school history.

Throughout his career, Wolff established himself as the heartbeat of North Pocono’s defense. Whether stuffing the run, chasing down quarterbacks, or making crucial tackles in open space, he consistently delivered in the biggest moments. His leadership extended beyond statistics, serving as one of the team’s captains in the 2025 season and setting the standard for preparation and toughness.

During his senior season, Wolff helped guide the Trojans to a memorable campaign that included a Lackawanna Football Conference championship, a District 2 Class 4A title, and a school-record 13 victories. He finished the year with 125 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, and 12 sacks while also contributing offensively at tight end with 11 receptions for 199 yards and three touchdowns. His outstanding season earned him Pennsylvania Football Writers Class 4A All-State honors.

I spoke with Evan on the phone about this journey, he stated to me that this is a dream come true. He has spent so much time at Penn State watching their football program as a kid, going to games and now being a part of it, he said he cannot even put his feeling into words. I also spoke to Evan's Parents, Randy and Marla Wolff, both are on cloud 9 as it was described to me and this is a surreal feeling.

Now, Evan takes his next steps to Penn State, where he hopes to bring the same toughness and determination that made him one of northeastern Pennsylvania’s premier defenders. His commitment represents another proud milestone for the North Pocono football program, showcasing the caliber of athletes being developed in Moscow.

For North Pocono fans, Evan Wolff’s legacy is already secure. He leaves behind a standard of leadership, grit, and championship football that future Trojans will strive to match. As he prepares to wear the blue and white, the North Pocono community will undoubtedly be cheering him on every step of the way.
