Some nights are about wins. Others are about moments you don’t see often. Monday had both, as Nick Bradley filled up the zone, the stat sheet, and the record book in one dominant outing.

The Abington Heights senior tossed a no-hitter and eclipsed 200 career strikeouts, leading the Comets to a 9-0 win over West Scranton.

Bradley hit the milestone early, recording his 200th strikeout in the first inning before settling into complete control. By the end of the night, he finished with 12 strikeouts over seven hitless innings, allowing just one walk.

This marks Bradley’s second no-hitter in recent weeks, continuing a stretch where he’s been nearly untouchable in the circle.

Offensively, Abington Heights backed him with a big third inning to take command. Reese Zalewski sparked the rally with an RBI double, Bradley helped his own cause with a two-run homer, and Noah Kayal added an RBI single to make it 4-0.

The Comets didn’t slow down from there.

Abington Heights piled up 13 hits, with Evan Gonzalez, Bradley, Cody Brown, Kayal, Luke Dougherty, and Cooper Cottell each recording two hits. Kayal and Dougherty led the run production with two RBIs apiece.

The Comets were aggressive on the bases as well, swiping seven bags, while the defense played clean behind Bradley in a complete team effort.

West Scranton couldn’t generate offense against Bradley’s mix and command, as the Invaders were held hitless on the night.

A milestone. Another no-hitter. And a performance that continues to raise the bar.
